Ethylene Glycol

            EO/EG plant
Ethylene oxide (EO) is an important intermediate product used in the production of a wide
range of products. A major portion of the ethylene oxide at the EO plant reacts with water
to yield 443,000 MT per year of various grades of glycols (MEG, DEG, TEG). Ethylene glycol
is used in the production of synthetic fibers, films, automotive coolants, and antifreeze.
Other applications include unsaturated polyester resins, paper, protective shields, as well
as the production of paints and inks. EO is also used to produce antiseptics, pesticides, and
            numerous other products.
